The Battery

The first battery was created by Alessandro Volta in 1800. A battery is full of chemicals that produce electrons. The electrons have to move from the negative to the positive terminal for the chemical reaction to take place. That is why batteries can stay alive for a long time as long as the chemical reaction does not take place. Every battery has two different terminals. Every battery has one positive terminal and one negative terminal. Electrons collect on the negative terminal of the battery.
