Homeopathy is based on the idea that ridding a patient of a symptom can be accomplished by treating that patient with the diluted form of a substance that, when administered to a healthy patient, would bring about the same symptoms. Homeopathy differs so greatly from scientific fields because it’s effectiveness has not been verified by experiment, which when applied to medicine means that no significant difference was observed between the treatment group and the placebo group.
