I set alarms for everything, especially meetings because I have maybe 1-2 a week so it doesn't make sense for me to be "calendar driven" but there's also no way I'm going to think "oh, it's 2pm on Tuesday, I have a meeting in an hour".

Anyway, because there's no way to set an alarm for a specific date, I have to have them repeat every Tuesday or whatever it may be, and so I'll often forget to turn them off after the meeting is over, and then every Tuesday I get an alarm going off. Sometimes I'm not near my phone and I'm lazy so I don't want to get up and disrupt whatever flow of work I'm in, so I figured out that if you call an iPhone while an alarm is going off, it'll turn off the alarm.
