You have a list of friends (could be pulled from Facebook or Gmail) and you each have an icon that shows who you are. These icons are all displayed on an otherwise blank screen in tossed around order. Everyone can circle their icons and have a big discussion. Any time someone types in a chat everyone’s screens displays that chat in a bubble above the person’s icon. Additionally, there’s a side bar that holds the entire chat history.

The user can move around their icon and go into private chat with a few other users. The idea is to recreate the scenario of a bunch of students in a room with no activity waiting for something to happen. It’s not supposed to be engaging, it’s supposed to be something users have in the background. It’s essentially a distractor like Facebook.
