For some reason, the TV in a powered off state makes a very high pitched noise. The only way to resolve this is unplugging the TV after each use.

To Whom It May Concern: 

I'd like to know what can be done about an incredibly persistent and annoying issue with my TCL TV. I love this TV, but when the TV is off a high pitched noise is emitted, similar to coil whine, that can be heard even 10 feet away from the TV. I've tried to research what can be done about the issue, but was eventually directed to submit a support request. 

The issue has been made more apparent recently because I moved it into a smaller room where I sleep, which means I have to try to ignore the high pitched noise all night.
