Components: Internals>GPU

Can someone in Internals>GPU further triage this?

Which hardware is this occurring on?

Could you attach an about:gpu from this machine?

Note that if this is on unsupported hardware, then stability may require that you disable hardware acceleration until a more stable driver is released.

I'm running a 2016 Apple Macbook Pro. I have two graphics cards: an integrated and a discrete. I've attached about:GPU for both. If you can't tell for sure by the crash reports, my guess is the crashes occurred while the integrated GPU was in use.

Integrated: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
Discrete: AMD Radeon Pro 460

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)

It sounds like this is pretty bad, although we haven't seen this happen more widely. ccameron recommends against blacklisting all cards with this driver until we see more reports.

josephpuccio: we recommend that you go to chrome://settings -> advanced settings -> uncheck "use hardware acceleration when possible" and restart Chrome. That should stop the crashing for you.

Am going to WontFix for now.

Follow-ed up here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=762762

Feel free to merge or ignore. Was just curious if other people have been having this issue as I got a kernel panic three times today (requiring a reboot).
